Accomplished scholar, author, and educator Tony Williams loves sharing his passion for the ideas and documents of the American Founding with teachers across the country, while also writing history and civics curricula for the Institute. Before joining the Institute in 2014, Tony taught at the middle and high school level for fifteen years before becoming the Program Director at the Washington, Jefferson & Madison Institute in Charlottesville, VA. He is the author of five books on early American history, including most recently, with Stephen F. Knott, Washington & Hamilton: The Alliance That Forged America. Tony earned a B.A. in history from Syracuse University and an M.A. in U.S. History from Ohio State University.
