Greenville, North Carolina • Class of 2022
One of the extracurricular activities that recent Think the Vote winner Savannah Jones is involved with is D.R.E.A.M. Team (Daring to Role-model Excellence as Athletic Mentors), “an experiential training program held throughout the school year” in North Carolina schools. High school students serve as role models and mentors who “select and plan services for elementary schools, middle schools, community organizations, and/or their own high school.”
Savannah is currently a junior at J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. She also plays lacrosse and is a member of the National Honor Society. Her favorite subjects are Math and English, and she considers late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to be one of her greatest influences.
As a future voter, the issues most important to her are health care, the economy, and abortion. After graduating from high school, Savannah plans to attend the University of North Carolina and then head to law school.
