The Bill of Rights Institute honors the vital role civics teachers play in educating our students and future generations of American leaders.  The Bill of Rights Institute National Civics Teacher of the Year Award recognizes teachers who are inspiring and serving their students in outstanding ways.


Do you know a civics teacher who is making a real difference in the classroom? We want to learn about them! Nominate a teacher who is helping students learn about our country, our government, and how to live the ideals of a free and just society.

You could help us find our Bill of Rights Institute National Civics Teacher of the Year! The National Civics Teacher of the Year will earn national recognition and a $5,000 prize! 

Educators, students, parents, and community members are welcome to submit nominations.
