What is The Civics Star Challenge?
In partnership with iCivics, the Challenge is a way to celebrate teachers who share the themes of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of our nation during the 2025-26 school year.
Educators who log activities that touch on these themes, get entered into a prize drawing. Each item logged counts as an entry. Four prize drawings will occur throughout the school year.

How Does it Work?
1. Engage your students with our recommended activities or suggested resources that explore themes from the Declaration of Independence.
2. Submit a short form to share your students' participation and earn a chance to win $300 and fun swag!
3. Continue to engage your students with themes from the Declaration of Independence throughout the school year. You'll have four opportunities to win, and each submission increases your chances of receiving prizes.
The Challenge is open to all teachers of grades K-12.
