2017 Constitutional Academy

For one week during the summer, the Bill of Rights Institute hosts a group of high school students from across the country in Washington, D.C. The students attend lectures, visit sites and monuments, and explore what it means to be an informed American. Check out our recap video from our 2017 Constitutional Academy!

So mostly we’ve learned about civil discourse so far and civil discourse is being able to talk to people and understanding what they’re saying and telling you rather than just yelling at them. So it’s talking with a point of understanding. That’s the biggest thing we’ve learned so far and also the most beneficial. Students from across the country that are absolutely fantastic, top students, motivated.
