Oklahoma BRI Aligned State Standards

Educational resources distributed by the Bill of Rights Institute (BRI) are standards-informed, but as a national organization, were not specifically designed to meet any individual state standards. To help with classroom use by teachers, BRI has conducted standards-alignment workshops where teams of educators collaborate to align high-quality instructional materials.
By evaluating BRI lessons and reaching consensus on whether a resource is strongly aligned, somewhat aligned, or weakly aligned, educators shared their practical knowledge of how to meet the standards of their state. We suggest that following resources as a starting point for educators to use to meet the standards of Oklahoma.
In light of the Oklahoma Supreme Court's decision to invalidate the 2025 social studies standards, BRI will continue to provide access to our current Oklahoma-aligned materials. We remain committed to supporting teachers throughout this transition and will update these resources once new state standards are formally adopted.
