Check Out BRI’s New Middle School Resource!

Did you know the Bill of Rights Institute recently introduced a new curriculum for middle school students?

BRI now offers Building a Self-Governing People: Civics & US History for Middle School, a resource for students in grades 6-8. This 9-unit U.S. history and civics curriculum emphasizes the Founding Principles and civic virtues. It guides middle school students to explore how Americans have worked to create and sustain a self-governing, free society.

Building a Self-Governing People complements the curricula BRI introduced earlier this year for elementary and high school students, respectively, BRI Jr. and Government and Politics: Civics for the American Experiment. The new middle school curriculum builds on the concepts introduced in those two resources and covers America’s history from the early colonial settlements to the Civil War.

All nine units of Building a Self-Governing People are currently available. Visit our website for more information on this latest resource!
