Serena Davé

Student

Barrington High School - Barrington, Illinois

As a future voter, Serena Davé feels strongly about personal freedoms and taking action to improve quality of life nationwide.

She is also a strong believer in voicing your opinions, which is what drew her to the Bill of Rights Institute’s Think The Vote program. Davé was recently named a winner of Think The Vote and said the program “was the perfect outlet for me to say my opinion on a topic that also had input from many other students, which allowed me to see other perspectives, which is what voicing your opinion gives you the opportunity to do.”

Davé is a student at Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill., and is a volunteer at a local hospital. She plans to pursue a career in the medical field after graduating from college – a decision that is influenced by  her hero, which is her father.

“My Dad has been someone I could look up to, someone who always seemed to make the right choices and say the right things,” Davé said. He has been a neurologist for over 20 years and inspired me to pursue healthcare myself, because I saw how much pride is in that field of work.”

Davé named reproductive rights, health care, and climate change as the issues she cares about most as a future voter and in her spare time, she enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors.
