Nicholas Miceli

Student

Smithtown High School West • Smithtown, New York

As the winner of the Bill of Rights Institute’s recent Think The Vote campaign regarding the Electoral College, Nicholas Miceli said he most enjoys how Think The Vote allows students to share their opinions with the world, “and I don’t mean random rants, but professional opinions.”

“I enjoy learning about history, specifically in the recent political landscape,” Miceli said. He is scheduled to graduate from Smithtown High School West in Smithtown, N.Y., this year, and he also enjoys exercising and creating films.

Miceli is involved in multiple extracurricular activities, including the National Art Honor Society, Model UN, Drama Club, and the Smithtown Unity Council. He mentioned AP Research, history, and film as his favorite classes and listed individual rights, fact-checking, and fixing political corruption as the issues he cares about most.

Miceli plans to attend New York University and study film and television, with the goal of “changing the world with the emotion and perspective [that] films give,” he said.
