Student
Washington High School • Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Between taking AP classes in U.S. history, government, world history, and chemistry and taking part in extracurricular activities like Student Council, Senior Events Committee, Best Buddies, Renaissance Committee, and National Honors Society, Estee Larsen is preparing herself for a bright future.
Larsen, a student at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, S.D., also found the time to participate in the Bill of Rights Institute’s Think The Vote campaign. Larsen is a recent Think The Vote winner and said she “enjoy[s] getting to express my opinion and [I] feel like my thoughts are heard!”
Larsen prides herself on being able to find positives in difficult situations and always make the best of difficult situations, a trait which she might attribute to her heroes – her sisters.
“I’ve watched them go through difficult things in life and always come out the other end smiling,” Larsen said.
As a future voter, the three most important issues to Larsen are women’s rights, climate change, and education. She plans to study biology and possibly animal science in college and plans to apply to veterinary school.
In her spare time, Larsen enjoys shopping, spending time with friends, listening to music, walking, and babysitting.
