2021 Program Dates: July 11-16, 2021
Program Topic: Equality & Justice: Principles as Foundation
Program Location: Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia
I enjoyed sharing my passion to learn with other students who craved the same learning experience. I appreciated the new bonds that were created and how much I’ve grown since I got here. I am leaving as a more mature woman and citizen. I am also taking away new lessons that I will use for the rest of my life that will ultimately shape me into a better person in society. ~Kalina T., Georgia, Constitutional Academy participant
This program is open to rising high school juniors, seniors, and college freshman.
This program invites students from across the United States to undertake a dialogue and set of sessions that balance high-concept philosophical thought with real-world - and somewhat controversial - explorations of how these ideas are not just theory – but form the basis of daily life in America.
Participants can expect a week full of sessions, site visits*, opportunities to engage with complex yet crucial concepts, and enjoy robust engagement with peers. This year's theme is Equality and Justice and all sessions will center around it. The program culminates in a rich project that exemplifies what student's experience in the program.
*site visit availability based on current COVID-19 pandemic conditions and safety-protocols.
