MyImpact Challenge Deadline Approaching

by Bill of Rights Institute on

Every day, students help create solutions to problems facing their communities. The Bill of Rights Institute believes in students and wants to support their efforts through our MyImpact Challenge.

No project is too big or too small! We want to hear what students are passionate about and how they work to better their communities. MyImpact Challenge encourages students to actively participate in community service, volunteerism, or entrepreneurship and create a solution-based community project connected to constitutional principles.

Do you have students working on service learning or applied civics projects? Have they completed their submission for the Bill of Rights Institute’s annual MyImpact Challenge? There is still time to apply!

MyImpact Challenge is BRI’s civic engagement contest for students ages 13-19 who actively engage in service, volunteerism, or entrepreneurship in their local communities. Students can submit their applications until 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 18, for the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes.

To enter, they must complete a MyImpact Challenge application using BRI’s contest portal. In their application, they need to describe an idea they envisioned and brought to life, write a project report and essay to connect their project to BRI’s founding principles and virtues, and share video or photos of the project.

BRI will also host a MyImpact Challenge fair at the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Monday, May 19. Local students will present their MyImpact Challenge projects in-person during the fair for a chance to win up to $2,000 in prizes for students. The deadline for Missouri students to register to participate is Monday, May 12.

Utah students can participate in a virtual MyImpact Challenge fair on June 5, 2025, and they can register by visiting this link.
