Introducing BRI’s New Government and Politics Curriculum!
How does a system of self-governance support American ideals?
This question is at the heart of the Bill of Rights Institute’s newest curriculum, Government and Politics: Civics for the American Experiment. The free resource launched last month explores the inner workings of the U.S. government and demonstrates the power Americans hold in shaping it.
Government and Politics: Civics for the American Experiment is available as a printable or fully digital resource. It consists of document versions and question sets for AP and on-level students and contains primary source activities, thought-provoking essays, video explainers, case studies, and critical debates. The resource also includes immersive tabletop games that help students explore complex topics.
The first three units of the resource are currently available for use and explore the foundation of American self-government, federalism, and the Legislative branch. Additional units that cover the executive and judicial branches of government, political participation and elections, and civil rights and civil liberties will be available on the Institute’s website by April 2025.
