BRI’s MyImpact Challenge Is Back!

It’s that time again! Students can now sign up for the Bill of Rights Institute’s MyImpact Challenge for the 2023-24 school year.

MyImpact Challenge is BRI’s civic engagement contest that asks students to create constitutionally-principled service projects that benefit their local communities. Students can win up to $10,000, with $40,000 in total prizes available to both students and teachers. Every MyImpact Challenge project that meets the entry guidelines will also receive a digital Civic Achievement badge.

Last year’s grand prize winner was Caroline Gao, a graduate of West Albany High School in Oregon. She created The World In Us – a nonprofit organization that helped connect roughly 1,700 young people from 26 countries to promote cross-cultural education and understanding.

The World in Us holds an intercultural exchange program for teenagers, which helps them connect with peers from other cultures and countries to build friendships, learn languages, and more.

Other winners from last year’s contest hailed from Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and other states. Visit our MyImpact Challenge page to learn more about this year’s contest and to sign up!
