AS

How do Founding principles like freedom, liberty, and equality still connect us as Americans today?

How can we ensure all young people have access to a quality civic education?

These were just some of the topics tackled on October 11, when the Bill of Rights Institute hosted students from the United Methodist College Washington Consortium Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP).

CHIP provides college students from all majors opportunities to study and participate in internships in Washington, D.C. Students learn in challenging seminars and courses, and participate in internships in government and non-government offices.

For the second year in a row, BRI was honored to host CHIP students for an education session. BRI Chief Program Officer Stan Swim and Senior Director, Content Kirk Higgins led the program, which included a lively discussion about Founding principles, BRI’s work, and the current challenges and opportunities in the civic education market.
