Spring is upon us, which means lots of work is still ahead for teachers as they finish their coursework. We hope educators around the country will find time in their busy schedules to apply for the Bill of Rights Institute’s Teacher Fellowship.

BRI is thrilled to announce the relaunch of this program for the 2026-27 school year. Applications for Teacher Fellowship are due by Thursday, April 30. The program will provide educators with behind-the-scenes access to the Institute’s resources and staff members, offer opportunities for Fellows to develop and deepen relationships with like-minded educators, and allow them to contribute to the broader field of civic education.

As part of the Teacher Fellowship, participants must attend a monthly online meeting and are expected to actively participate in all program activities, including online sessions and assist in the creation of Institute materials as directed by BRI staff members.

This year, for the first time, BRI is also seeking educators interested in serving as an Integrity and Transparency Fellow. These individuals will participate in the Teacher Fellowship program and have a special task to help BRI develop classroom lessons that cultivate civic virtue, ethical leadership, and constitutional principles, with a focus on integrity, transparency, and responsible self-government.

Integrity and Transparency Fellows will also be invited to attend the 2026 International Anti-Corruption Conference in the Dominican Republic from Dec. 1-4, 2026, to engage with global experts and bring the lessons they learn back to their classrooms and local communities. The Bill of Rights Institute will fully fund this trip.

Visit the Teacher Fellowship page on BRI’s website for more information and to apply for these exciting opportunities!
