Meet Artem Khaiet
Mount Prospect, Illinois • Sophomore
Artem Khaiet, one of our recent Think the Vote debate winners, is a 10th grader at Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, Illinois. In addition to history and politics, Artem is also passionate about computer science and hopes to one day get his degree in computer science or statistics.
Climate change, education policy, and health care are the three issues Artem cares about most. “Health and well-being are the most important aspects in a person’s life,” says Artem. “Before achieving anything else, one has to take care of his health, and the country’s healthcare system can either make it hard or not.”
He considers Nicola Tesla to be one of the most fascinating figures from history, a true genius with “a layer of mystery and secrecy around him,” and he would love to know what his Twitter and Instagram were like if he were alive today.
Artem’s greatest personal influences are his parents. “They guide me through life and are always available if I ever need their help.”
