What is BRI’s mission?
The mission of the Bill of Rights Institute is to educate young people about the words and ideas of America’s Founders, the liberties guaranteed in our Founding documents, and how our Founding principles continue to affect and shape a free society. It is the goal of the Institute to help the next generation understand the freedom and opportunity the Constitution offers.
What are your overhead costs?
We believe that long-term effectiveness of the Institute can only be achieved through careful stewarding of the investments made by our supporters. By ensuring overhead costs directly further our programmatic reach, we expand the impact of our programs. Our current overhead ratio is 8.3%.
What does my donation go towards funding?
Your investment ensures that students across the country develop an appreciation for our Founding principles. We achieve this through direct student programs, investing in teacher development, and through producing historically-accurate resources that are rooted in primary source documents.
Can I visit your offices or programs?

Is my gift tax-deductible?
The Institute is categorized under the IRS tax code section 501(c)(3). As such your support is deductible in accordance with current IRS guidelines.
What forms of donation can you accept?
We appreciate all forms of support! Most supporters choose to invest through check or credit card, however, we gratefully accept stock transfers, bequests, in-kind donations, or other asset donations. Please email email@example.com for more information.
