One of the Bill of Rights Institute’s frequent scholars, Robert Allison, has created a free, online course on the Constitution.  In a series of 20-minute lectures he will outline its history – Why was it written?  What were the problems it meant to solve?  How did it function?  The course will carry the story up to Marbury vs. Madison and it explores the Constitution’s origins in an age of revolution and reformation. If interest continues, the course will go on to discuss the 14th amendment and 20th-century.

Robert Allison teaches American Constitutional History at Suffolk University in Boston and the Harvard Extension School.
