Photographic or video documentation of project That shows tangible impact.

My Impact Challenge Arizona FAQs

Arizona’s MyImpact Challenge is a civics fair sponsored by the Bill of Rights Institute, Arizona YMCA Youth and Government, the Arizona Civics Coalition, and Arizona State University’s Center for American Civics. The fair will be held Apil 24, 2024 at the Watts Family Maryvale YMCA.

The contest is open to Arizona students between the ages of 13 and 19 who are involved in a community service project.

Send a project report of up to 2,000 words, an essay of up to 1,200 words on how your project upholds one Civic Virtue and one Founding Principle, and photo or video documentation. Find out more at MyImpactChallenge.org

Groups of up to five members can enter the contest.

No. Entries must be written and filed by students. Teachers may provide support but cannot write entries and should not file entires under their names.

No. MyImpact Challenge awards

any purpose, whether funding your education or investing money back into your project.

If you've started work on an ongoing service project that isn't finished yet, enter anyway! If you're doing real work and your project is having a real impact, we want to see it.

No. MyImpact Challenge is a contest for completed or in-progress service projects. If you are only at the project planning stage, you might have a great entry for next year's contest.
