Being an American Essay Contest

In our never-ending effort to create and provide reliable resources to teachers across the country, we are excited to announce the launch of brand new student programs and contests.  In order to allocate the necessary resources and staff to our new programs, we are putting a hold on the Being an American Essay Contest for this school year.

With the understanding that many of our teachers use the Contest in their classrooms each year, we are still going to have all educational and support resources for the Contest available on our website. If you wish, you may have your students write an essay in response to the prompt, but we will not be accepting submissions this year. Find all teacher resources here.
